It’s been almost a year!
It’s crazy how much has gone on in just one year. New jobs, Old jobs. New phones…new phones…and new phones. High times and low times. Everything I wanted to do, and everything that has been put on hold for the time being. I feel like this year, as crazy as it’s been, was a really good year. I’ve moved out, in and back out. Meg and I have almost celebrated 3 years together, loving her even more each day.
I haven’t even updated this in almost 4 months, I don’t even know what to say. Matt has officially moved in, and life has gotten so much easier having someone to share expenses with, lol. It’s also great just having someone to talk to when I come home, that was one of the things I hated most about being on my own. And it’s 20 thousand times better because he’s been my best friend for years. Thanks for all your help, dude! The apartment looks so much better since he’s moved in, too. We actually have furniture. Bar chairs, a table and stools, a futon, coffee table, soon to have a leather love seat. I actually have a washer and dryer now (never been so excited for something so simple). And we got it for free, that was amazing.
I’m still working at the magnificent T-Mobile. I LOVE my job. Every day. There are those stressful times when the store is full, but all retail is like that. There’s not too much more to say here, I just love my job, and the people I work with. Couldn’t ask for anything else…that’s all i have to say about that!
Just throwing this quick update out there, hopefully i’ll start keeping up with this again.
When life gives you lemons
I guess it’s time to update this thing. T-mobile is going amazingly well. I’m loving every second of working there. Its has slow days and busy days, it seems to be the perfect mix. And with the Holidays coming up and all the new things we’re releasing (which I can’t talk about so freely yet, haha) everything is gonna be really busy.
We’re releasing a new phone in a couple weeks, the Motorola Cliq. It’s a really sharp phone, very fast, very sleek. November 2nd is the current release date. I just ordered mine and meg’s yesterday. Totally excited for it. I love my employee plan with T-mobile, too. It’s cheaper for meg and I and one other person to be on my plan than for my plan alone at sprint. score. Plus the accelerometer is a little more advanced then current smart phones, it flips many different ways instead of only two. So if you show someone a picture upside down, it flips the correct way (except on the home screen.) It has 5 home screens to store stuff, which is what they promised with the mytouch, but you have to download separately.
It’s very social friendly, it lets you have updating facebook, myspace, twitter, and other social networking sites all in the same place. The camera is a 5.0 megapixel, which is one of the best on the market, (there’s a few that are better, but still.) The full qwerty keyboard that slides out makes it easier to sell to other customers, other than the tech savvy. That was one thing people hate about the iPhone and MyTouch. And of course, it’s android powered, so it has all the android market apps available. I’m pretty much stoked. There’s rumors that we’re getting two more android phones before the years over, so that’ll be exciting. One of them being the Behold/Omnia II. We’ll seee. The only thing that the Cliq doesn’t that i’m not too happy about is it’s not multi-touch. Kind of a bummer, but there is a hack/rooting process out there to get it. We’ll see.
Needless to say, I’m excited =]. Haha. I’m still in love with pandora; I use it every day and go through multiple stations a day. Today I created a Rainy Day station, haha. Postal Service and The Killers are perfect for that. I have my metal stations, power pop, indie, rock, 80’s, trance/dance, and comedy stations all set up. And a nature one, haha. I love it. I’m typing this out, when I really should be cleaning my apartment. It’s really messy. I cleaned two rooms, and only have two left…but they’re the worst ones. Note to self, don’t let dishes pile up for too long, it gets overbearingly dirty.
Interesting Weeks.
I started my blockbuster online “VIP” access. They gave the employees free subscription to it…but I’m not too impressed with it yet. It’s nice to have random movies available to watch, but I don’t know how much I will use it. Netflix has the included “instant access” with streaming movies…don’t have the option yet with Blockbuster Online, but I really hope it’ll be soon. I won’t even lie, I use Netflix streaming all the time. If Blockbuster Online got that, it’d be fantastic. We do, however, sell movies (new and used.) And it’s paired with TiVo, and (soon) Samsung BluRay players and Samsung TV’s with WiFi. Just a few fun-filled facts.
People are running up and down the stairs in my building and it’s scaring my cats. awesome.
I am now officially employed by Blockbuster & T-Mobile. I’m very excited to work for T-Mobile, i feel like it’s a job custom tailored for me. I get to talk about phones and their benefits all day?! Score! The benefits are pretty good, too, i’m excited for contacts again. haha. no more glasses for meeee. I’m having a huge debate on whether i should get a plan and phone now, or just wait til december when all the new awesome phones always come out in time for christmas. ohhh the decisions. I want the MyTouch reaaally bad. really bad. But i also want the new blackberry coming out. We’ll see how strong i stay.
I highly recommend crash. the movie. it’s basically amazing. random cast, but reallyyyy good. It’s basically about a bunch of people have racist issues, and the whole movie shows positive and negative actions. It’s phenomenal, it may be old, but still good. It’s pretty hardcore, and has quite a few big names in it. Blockbuster/Netflix it, enjoy it. =]
It’s 7 pm on a wednesday night and i’m pretty sure I’m about to go to sleep, haha. I’ve worked 32 hours between both jobs in 3 days, so i’m ready to have a good nights worth of sleep. Brutus + Edward
I believe in a destiny. No doubt about it. I was over at Meg’s apartment, and her roommate has a cat, and I was like, “I need an animal at my apartment.” I went home, and just curious, I looked at the animals to see what was available. I got on craigslist and saw that there were TWO free kittens. FREE. Already had their shots and already fixed. It was meant to be, I had to get them. So I did =] Brutus and Edward. Brutus for the OSU Bucks (WOO!) and Edward…for…twilight…thanks meg. <3 hahaha. I told her she could name it though. It’s pretty awesome.
So I had a very successful interview at T-Mobile. I’m very excited. Just waiting on the background check. Which better be spotless. It’s going to be exciting. I plan on working there and blockbuster until december, and part ways with one of them after that. It’s going to be ballin’. Can’t Wait. Matt’s talking about paying off his dad and moving in. which will be awesome too. Get a two or three bedroom. It’ll be good times.
I had the worst experience yesterday. between finding out i DIDN’T pay my phone bill? even though i did. i had someone steal my account information some how and I had to cancel my debit card the day after i paid it…which i guess canceled the transaction. pretty awesome, right? I did not enjoy that, at all. 180 bucks suddenly missing from my account, ummm wtf mate. So after canceling my card and and disputing it all, everything is almost back to normal. I had random charges from hotel.com and bravofly.com. Pretty much not cool. Watch you statements!

I also recently discovered pandora. I’ve known about it for the past 2 years, but I’ve never actually used it. And now I’m a proud user. On my phone and or laptop at all times. If you don’t know what it is, it’s basically internet radio that learns what you like. I started with one band, and you thumbs up and thumbs down other bands that come on, and it basically starts playing stuff that what you like. When In Doubt, Chicken Out.
It’s been a long time since I updated this! Life has been…interesting the past couple of weeks. It’s amazing how broke you really are when you live on your own. Luckily I’ve had the support of my family, and a few other families who help me out if I come over. Like can’s of soup from Trevor’s Family, or Salsa and Chips from Paden’s, or just everything from mine. It’s been interesting. And how bills show up at the most in-opportune time. Hahaha. Oh well, life is going on, and everything is pretty good.
Any one know of a place to get a second job? On that note of money, haha. I’m sick of being broke, so I definitely need another job. I was looking at cell-phone companies and possibly some car dealerships. I don’t know. We’ll see what happens.
So last week was crazy. Between phones breaking, a seizure, and working 2 different stores…I had an interesting week. Starting with the seizure. I was working at the other Allen store, and it was pretty slow night. Like, really slow, we had nooothing to do. And then one of the guys i was working with just starting like…yelling randomly, and i looked over and he was having a seizure. like straight up. scariest moment ever. He was standing in front of the front door, so he like, fell through the door, hit his head on the concrete, and then was out of it for like 5 minutes. at least. then the ambulance showed up and i started blacking out from all the adrenaline going through my body…and it just turned into a night of, omg, did that really just happen? It was intense.
Theeennn, my phone just stopped working. It wouldn’t charge, and if it did I had to keep the charger in the same position the wholeee time. It was horrible. then I plugged it into my car charger,and “pop” it broke. so now i’m stuck with the instinct again. and I lost all my numbers because sprint couldn’t transfer the numbers for me (because the charger was broken and that’s how they do it) it was aweful. Sweet Home, Ohio.
What a great week this has been! Hanging out with family and Meg all week. It’s been awesome. We didn’t home until late when we first flew in, so Sunday barely counts. Wes and I stayed up playing Rainbow SixVegas 2 on the 360, which made Monday tiring, haha. We played until 4 o’clock, waaayy too late. Monday we just hung out and then went to Red Robin with everyone. Nathan and Rachael flew up the day before us, so the house was full. Meg slept in Ashlee’s old room, or the slash/slasher room as we’ve come to call it. Rachael slept in Nathan’s room, and Nathan slept downstairs. I slept on the couch alll week. I think my shoulders are punishing me for it, too, I can barely move them today.
Wes, Nathan, and I went golfing Tuesday. Which was amazing. I loved it. I did awful, but not as bad as I thought. I think I was only 3 over par each hole, which could have been waaay worse. I was pretty proud of myself. Meg and the girls, aka my mom ashlee and rachael, all went out to get their nails done and all that jazz. Pretty cool.
Thursday we went out to Marion, which is where I grew up. I wanted to show Meg where I came from. The house I grew up in isn’t even there any more, someone bought the property from an auction and knocked it down. That house was verrryyy sketchy. It was across the street from some train tracks, and any time a train passed my house would shake…a lot. haha. But that life is over. I got to see my sister and my nieces/nephews, which was awesome. I love them, I wish they all weren’t so far away. Even when I see my mom it’s hard to say if I’ll see her or not, because she still lives 3 hours away from my mom.
I’m sitting in saxby’s, watching diggnation, and surfing the web. It’s great. I love this place. I had a horrible beginning to my day yesterday. My A/C isn’t working the best. It’s like…half-assing everything. It’s about 80 degrees in there, haha. I also found out my dishwasher doesn’t work, it just lets water sit in the bottom…awesome. I’ll have to get those checked out. and afteeerrr all of that, it starts to storm. perfect. As I’m heading to work, all hell broke loose, and it stormed like a mo-fo. So i was drenched, and got to work, and the power went out. just a great hour of my life, haha.
Anyway, time to go price stuff! Come see my apartment. and I’ll put pictures up soon, i swear.

In my 14 years of traveling, I have NEVER forgotten my duffel bag. Until today. Matt, Meg, and I all get to the airport, and we’re piling out of my car, and I reach into the back to get my bag…which wasn’t there. Thank GOD I always leave for the airport 2 hours ahead of time (when I’m in charge.) Theme of our traveling day “You are so forgetful and un-prepared”-Megan. She seriously asked me as we were getting into the car if I had my bag…and I said yes. But I thought she meant my back pack. Wow. How stupid can I be. hahaha. At least I remembered to print our ticket information, right?
We’re in the Chicago O’Hare Airport right now. With a 2 hour lay over. It’s a perfect time to blog. No doubt. I moved into my apartment! I’m so excited for it too. I’ll post the pictures soon. I have a very nice living area, I think it’s close to 700 square feet. It’s at least 650. My living room looks really empty right now, having one piece of furniture doesn’t fill the space too well. But my dad is reupholstering a recliner we’ve had for forever now, and I’m also getting some barstools for my bar area.
My bar area is probably my favorite area, because it has a built in cutting board (which is kind of unsanitary but clorox wipes and all that jazz will help fix that) and it’s very open to the kitchen. The top of it can has plenty of room to put some sort of decorations or something up there. The kitchen is kind of small space, but I’ve bought kitchen towels for it. Meg’s mom is awesome and bought me a 4 piece set: 4 cups, 4 bowls, 4 normal sized plates, and 4 bread plates. She also gave me a cooking book that I hope to use a lot, because of my interest in cooking and all that jazz. It definitely makes me happy. =] My dining area is small, just kind of a connection between the kitchen and living room. I have one small card table from Trev’s mom, but it’s better than nothing. and 2 chairs from meg’s mom, so i have more than just my futon as seating until the stools and recliner are done.
My bed room is probably the same size as what i had at my dad’s house, maybe a tad bit bigger. I have my bed, my dresser, and my mini-fridge in there. I attempted to watch dvd’s on my surround sound last night, but it didn’t work out, there’s something wrong with it. Plus the tv i got from Trev’s isn’t working out too well either, it’s a little too old to connect to the dvd player. Oh well, I’ll find another one eventually, I’m sure. I love how I’m in an airport right now, with my amazing girlfriend, and not even caring what else is going on around us. So far we’ve knocked out 3o minutes…come on 9:04. Some younger kids just got in trouble for taking a break hahaha, sucks. Continuing on to the bathroom. Bathroom is okay, bigger than the one i was using at my parents house, I have a huge tub and plenty of space for all of my stuff…like…shampoo and a razor…so much stuff. haha. It’s really nice though. i have a rug in there, and some Ohio state themed colors for the hand towels. My walk-in closet is in there, and I love it. It’s a decent size, and already has racks and such in it, so i don’t really need to use my dresser. It’s just there a stand really. The bar and the closet are my favorite parts of my apartment, haha, oh man.
I’m excited to put up a few of my posters. I want to put more up but a lot of people are telling me it’s a bad idea, haha. So what if it’s Halo 3? But I’ll have my black and white bridge, my black and white jack daniels poster, and my fight club picture. I want to get a boondock saints poster, the black and white one with the prayer and guns on it. It’s pretty tizight, but I dunno when I’ll get it.
I’m getting hungry, and just wanted to do a quick post. If you wanna know more about my apartment, just let me know!
Finally An Update
I have been so busy lately! There is no doubt about that. I was working two stores for a while, the one in Plano and the one by my house. And it was intense. I’m in the process of finding an apartment. I’ve been wanting to move out completely for about a month now, and then my dad and i were talking and pretty much decided it’s time for me to go. I’m 2o years old for goodness sakes, haha. I’m going out tomorrow and don’t plan on coming home until I’ve found an apartment that I can live in. It’s going to be a long rough day, and I’ve heard some horror stories about renting out, but everything will be fine.
I got rid of my crappy instinct. haha. I haaated that phone. I’m back to my blackberry, which I absolutely love. The palm pre came out this week, and I’m not that impressed. I’ve heard good things about it, but I held one in the Sprint store today, and it is definitely not an iPhone killer. I wish I could be a product tester, I’ve been through so many phones now, I know what’s up. I think blackberry and apple know how to make a great phone. the google phone is in the running now as well. Windows Mobile sucks, and any phone that supports it should be shot, haha.
Meg and I are going to Ohio in a week. It’s going to be awesome, I cannot wait. There was talk about me getting another tattoo with my sister, which would be amazing, but now I have an apartment to think about, so we’ll see. Depends on how much it is. I’m ridiculously excited though, I haven’t been to Ohio since Thanksgiving. Pre-True.com! Oh man. I cannot wait. I’ll get to see all my family, and my puppyyy. And Meg will get to hang out with my family there, too. Which will be great =]
Why do I post only late at night? Who knows. I feel like so much is going through my head, but I don’t know whats up there. I dropped the ballin’ system idea for now, because I have other expenses to worry about first. We went to the mall today with Paden and Nona, which was fuuun. Minus Paden and me wearing the same jeans…and Meg and Paden wearing yellow v-necks, haha. It was interesting. Stopped by LoveSac for a good…30 minutes probably? I have a feeling I’m going to do a “sactional” You can by section by section until you have a full “sactional” which would be great. Easy to use as furniture in my apartment. 300 bucks for a basic chair. So this is the goal, that can be switched up a bunch of different ways.
Anyway, I’m running on empty for thoughs for now. Thought i’d be semi-informative. Tomorrow I’ll post if i was successful or not =]
Life is good.
I’m working a lot. It’s nice. Life is crazy good. Going to Ohio in a couple weeks with Meg, Rachael, and Nathan. That will be good times. I’ll update this more when I get a chance, I’ve just been waaayy too lazy, haha. I’m looking for an apartment, so if any one knows a place to get a nice one real cheap, hook it up. ooor if any one needs a roommate.
